This right here is why I went back to braiding my own hair. And since the IG stylists are charging so much some of the other stylists are severely raising their prices too! It’s ridiculous!
I’ve seen one where the stylist was charging an additional fee for neat parting 🤦🏾♀️ They are so gross out here smh.

THIS is why I’m happy I had enough cosmetology school to do my own thing. There’s not a lot of old school salons in my area to get my hair done, and everyone in IG wasn’t you to shampoo, blow dry, bring a comb I’m like why I gotta pay you full price to pretend to run a flat iron over my hair? 🙄
I feel heard. It’s absolutely ridiculous out here. I just don’t know. Stylists now charge to wash your hair. They don’t have any knowledge of how to promote healthy hair, just styling. They are charging if your hair kinkier too. Madness 😠
Come on Lin, Come on. Because some people are letting them rip them off. I wonder how the stylist 😪sleep at night, probably just as good. That’s the😱 scary part.

I asked this question about nail salons a couple years ago you can get a full set for twenty bucks then they started deconstructing a full set and charging you for every little thing now you can’t get a full set without spending 120 dang dollars. So I ordered the tips the acrylic all the supplies I needed and now I do all my nails at home plus my friends pay for theirs. It cost me about $120 to order the setup so that I can do my own nails for a whole year that is saving so much money 🤑
I find the new “squeeze in” fees laughable. I’m not talking about the ones who try to book after every slot is full. I’m talking about the ones who charge you for making an appointment for the same day booked even though it was available. That doesn’t make sense to me. My stylist has it to where you can’t book the day of. Do like him and just turn the day off if you dislike same day appointments!
