(This is my summer side project, don’t worry–we’ll be back to regular Japan content next week!)

Our first destination on our trip was Bear’s Hump, in Waterton, Alberta. I wasn’t crazy about hiking on my very first day in Canada, but as I was about to learn, some things are worth putting in the effort for. :- )

UPDATE: We were blogged about on The Province!

I love that place. I went there when I was 12 and it was probably my favorite place I visited in Canada.

I went there one day ago, it was amazing! I think I saw the mountain you were on and it must have been hard to climb :I

You are insane! I am so afraid of heights! My heart sunk every time I saw your feet dangling and showing those steep shots! But I must admit those are great pictures you captured.

Wow, this location looks absolutely gorgeous. Even pausing the video at any point where you’re showing the scenery always results in a great frame. It’s also wonderful that this medium of photography can also be turned into a career. It’s certainly quick and accessible to a large audience. Thanks for sharing!

When you were standing on the mountain I thought “And that was the story of how Micaela lost her footing.” Haha, but really love this series and look forward to the next one! Maybe you should try to find some spots in Japan you get can some of these spectacular view photos one day 😀
