The best for me was probably The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow but I also did a reread of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and it was just as heartbreaking and hopeful as the first time.
The best book I read recently was silent patient and I love it it a psychology thriller and during reading I was making so many guesses about what going to happen at the end but the plot twist was better than anything. Loveeeeee that book and has been recommending it to everyone I know.
I would like to make a suggestion for you to read a book of José Saramago. He creates very interesting and complex stories that challenge the reader and are thought provoking. Also has an individual writing style, where he doesn’t use punctuation, this is on purpose for you to read everything as you were in the action, that way the reader has the opportunity to read it their way. He is one of my favourite Portuguese authors and I’m geniunly interested in what you would think. He’s not for everyone, but you are never indeferent while reading Saramago. Have a nice day!
orbiting jupiter by gary schmidt! i first read it when i was around nine years old but i read it again a few weeks ago and the story hit just as hard nine years later. a quick and very enjoyable read!
I just finished Malibu Rising while on my first holiday abroad in such a long time, and I wholeheartedly agree! Such a brilliant summer read 🙌
My favorite recent read would have to be The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. It has a nice balance of hope and despair

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. It’s a few years old, but just got to read it this year. One of my all time favorite novels.
The Savage Detectives by Roberto Bolaño. Just bought a book of analysis on it called “The Savage Detectives Reread” by David Kurnick.
